I had so much fun this Season Coaching Soccer. When they originally asked me to coach i wasn't so sure.Even though it's my boys favorite sport to play, my knowledge is limited and geared towards older kids. In my line of work i tend to push people to work there hardest, i didn't want to be that drill Sargent to the kiddos. I was hoping i would be able to balance love for the game, fun for the kids, but also to learn and understand some skills/rules that they will need later on. Plus being mom and dad right now with a busy schedule i wasn't sure i could balance it all. Well the parents really stepped out and helped. i had preplanned a couple of weekends out of town before i planned on coaching. We had to change fields in the middle of the season, but everyone was understanding and went with the flow. I could not have asked for better parents and especially better kids... They were just a great bunch and really wanted to learn about the game. They really worked on there passing and communication and it showed. If i knew i could get the same kids i probably would coach again, I do want to learn about the game more.. Tanner is thinking about getting into reffing when he can to earn some money, so it would be good to understand all the rules of this great game. Considering we are in Oregon we only had rain a few times and it was light drizzle, we lucked out and had great weather this season. After our final game it was off to the local pizza joint for pizza, trophies and cake. I got a surprise when the team mom gave me a gift certificate for a massage... WOW..She doesn't realize what a gift that is for me.. I try to go once a month but actually should get in more so this is perfect. I'll miss this season it has allot of great memories for me...Well Tuesday BASKETBALL STARTS....
I am so glad that you got talked into coaching! You are a wonderful coach- the kids just loved you, and I'm happy I go to meet you too! Thanks for all your hard work!
I don't think I'm going to show the boys your Halloween...Don't think I'll hear the end of it because we did nothing. Course some of that was their own fault as they once again didn't clean up their rooms.
Glad you had a good time coaching. Looks like the boys had a good season!
The Boys! I always knew I would have all boys in my life. children, pets etc.(i just always had gotten along with boys better than girls growing up).. I know how adorable girls can be but I can only handle so much "girl drama" sorry but it's true.. LOL.
God must have known too because he has blessed me with the 3 coolest guys on earth! I am definitely a tomboy who likes to look pretty, so it works for me here.. i am lucky to have a great man who takes me as I am. lets me be who I am am. loves me fancied up or in sweats all winter long:) Dax jokes that there is only 1 princess allowed in the Boyle household..LOL
Tanner my Pre Teen
Tanner has always been older than his years. He's my first born. and for having him at 25 I had allot to learn. He was a challenge I had no idea what I was doing, we learned allot from one another... We spent allot of us time together(we had moved for the 3rd time and didn't know anyone in Vancouver. I was probably the most protective parent in the world (no really I was) When it comes to him I still am and always will be. He's like me in so many ways. He has his fathers good looks, and is charming as all heck. He's compassionate, caring, responsible, competitive, always aiming to please and doing his best. He's my boy always will be...He's the best big brother anyone can have and would have any ones back, He also doesn't put up with anything from anyone and loves a good debate. I swear I see him in some type of ministry as a adult as he embraces his faith as a young man in the past few years, also some kind of business owner.. he wants to own businesses.. and travel as a soccer player all over the world when he grows up.I am always proud of him..
Jakie (Jacob) 7 going on 12
We waited 5 years for this little guy and he was worth the wait. He resembles me in looks until you meet Dax then it's "oh I see allot of Dax in him." He's the most carefree, go with the flow, learns things quick and is rowdy as any little boy can be. The easiest baby i have ever seen and I dreaded each year as it flew by too fast for me and he has grown up.(I swear i held him the 1st full year of life savoring every moment of his baby years) Keeping up with a older brother seems effortless for him and for brothers being almost 6 years apart they do pretty darn good. He's probably the natural athlete loving every sport he has tried. He loves having friends, being outside, and exploring the world. He loves the mountains and the beach. I love seeing the world through his young eyes. What a zest for life he has. I see Jake being in law enforcement as a adult, he wants to be a NFL quarterback.
